Advanced First Aid Training
This is an advanced program designed for workplace First Aiders and those who manage First Aid facilities. This comprehensive course is designed to give the First Aider the skills necessary to give effective life support, diagnose & treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty.
This course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare the qualified Advanced First Aider to administer emergency care in the workplace. Participants will learn a high level of practical skill and theoretical knowledge, so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise in the working environment.

| COURSE PURPOSE |
| The purpose of this program is to enable participants to gain competency in providing emergency care with supplemental oxygen, defibrillation and in the administration of certain medications. It also enables participants to take on a leadership role in the prevention and management of workplace illness and injuries. |

| COURSE SCHEDULE |
Theory and practical skill development sessions covering: Primary and Secondary Survey, Resuscitation, CPR, Cross Infection, Vital Signs Survey, Shock Management, Bleeding and Serious Wound Management, Amputation Management, Crush Injuries, Soft Tissue Injuries, Dislocations and Fractures.
The course will also be covering Orthostatic Intolerance, Head and Spinal Injuries, Eye Injuries, Diabetes, Burns Treatment, First Aid Kits, Moving Victims, Recording, Referral and Reporting, Revision of Senior First Aid Course Elements, Oxygen Administration, Automated External Defibrillators, Penthrane Administration as well as High Pressure Injection Injury Management. |
