Confined Space Training

Every year, hundreds of workers suffer needless injuries, even death, due to inadequate (or non-existent) confined space entry programs. This happens in a wide range of industries, from those involving complex plant to simple storage vessels. Those killed include not only people working in the confined space but those who try to rescue them without proper training and equipment.Employers also receive citations and large monetary penalties whenever a Workcover inspection shows the company or organization does not comply with mandatory Permit-Required Confined Space Entry standards.

Confined Space Training
 COURSE PURPOSE
The purpose of this program is to cover the competency required to control the entry to confined spaces, for maintenance, servicing of vessels or other necessary reasons.
 COURSE DURATION
We have 2 or 3 Day Courses available.
 QUALIFICATION OBTAINED
Statement of attainment issued: PMAPER 205A - Enter Confined Space PMAPER 200B - Work in Accordance with an Issued Permit.
 COURSE SCHEDULE

THEORY SESSION:
Regulations and Responsibilities, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Control Measures, SCBA units, Gas Detectors, Fall Arrest Equipment, Emergency Rescue.

PRACTICAL SESSION:
Completing a Risk Assessment, Gas Detection, Safety Harnesses, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, Tripods/Davits, Fall Arrest Systems, Rescue and Practice Scenario.
